Rihanna Runs The World: 'There's Nobody Really In My League'

UPDATE-Rihanna was never short on confidence and in a recent interview with Look magazine via Digital Spy, Rihanna affirm why she’s a force to be reckoned with. The ‘Man Down’ singer who received the honor as the best selling digital artist of all time beating out the likes of Eminem, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, knows her self worth in this fickle industry.

In the interview,   Rihanna was asked who she believes is her competition. Response: “There’s nobody really in my league.”

Before anyone thinks RiRih is completely out of her mind, she does admits the industry is competitive but she’s in a league of her own,

“But there’s competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both.”

Of course the “both” Rihanna is referring to is between herself and Beyonce. The talented singers have suffered comparisons ever since Rihanna signed to Jay-Z more than six years ago.

Rihanna continued,

“Beyonce is a great artist and I feel honored to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we’re different performers with different styles.”

While her quotes will certainly be twisted as shade, Rihanna has once before commended Beyonce for dominating the pop industry even stating there was a Pop Pack with herself, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

Rihanna also added that the ever changing Madonna has a huge influence on her:

“Madonna. She reinvented her style and music with success every single time, and at the same time remained a real force. She’s fantastic.”

What do you think of Rihanna’s interview – does she have a point?
