Elin Nordegren To Rebuild $12M Mansion; Johnny Depp Relationship Woes

UPDATE-Elin Nordegren surprised more than a few people when she completely obliterated her post-divorce, $12 million North Palm Beach, Florida mansion. While it appeared Elin was flaunting her wealth from her $100 divorce settlement it turned out that she demolished her mansion because the 1920’s house was infested with termites and did not meet the latest hurricane codes.

Elin, Tiger Woods’ ex, made headlines   last week for annihilating the ostentatious oceanfront mansion composed of 17,000-square-feet including an elevator and eight bathrooms.

Despite some reports of Elin thumbing her nose at her ex for his sorted extra-marital relationships which resulted in the demise of their marriage, the former model made the best economical choice.

Her builder, Bobbi Blodgett told People.

“We had an architect and a structural engineer out here and everyone agreed that it made more sense — structurally and economically — to tear it down and start over.”

Elin gave Habitat for Humanity of Martin County, Florida, four weeks to go through the structure to salvage cabinets, hardware, and fixtures. This is when the infestations of carpenter ants and termites were discovered.

When we pulled out the windows, the bugs were everywhere,” says Blodgett. “To rebuild that house would have been ridiculous.

Elin didn’t bulldoze the $12 million mansion because she could, but looks like she had no choice.

Trouble For Johnny Depp And Longtime Girlfriend Vanessa Paradis?

Reports have been swirling that Johnny Depp and longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis are experiencing some relationship woes.

Radar Online reported the Pirates of Caribbean actor and the mother of his two children, Lily Rose and Jack, are experiencing a rough patch in their 14-year romance.

Paradis, a French actress-singer, was recently seen looking un-apologetically perturbed without any stitch of makeup. While others are also suggesting the Oscar nominated star has been struggling with the problems stemming from their relationship.

“People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now,” alleges a source. “Their relationship is heading toward the end.”

Amid the relationship rift rumors, the actor reportedly purchased a thirteen-bedroom mansion in Burnham Market near a village in Norfolk. No word if Johnny will share the new home with his family or not. After all, the couple isn’t married but share homes in Los Angeles, the South of France, and an island in the Bahamas.

The couple, who reportedly spent New Year’s Eve together, understands that their relationship isn’t the norm, but works for them.

“I don’t know how it works, but it does all work beautifully,” the actor said of his home-life back in October. “Our family is not conventional. It’s sort of symmetrical and asymmetrical and poetic and funny.”

“We understand that, if we want our relationship to continue, we must give each other space, allow each other to go off on our own, and trust each other,” Paradis, told Marie Claire in 2010. “Not everyone is lucky enough to be given space and trust.”

Depp and Paradis may be experiencing some relationship problems, but let’s hope their formula prove to be successful.
