Nick Cannon was recently rushed to the emergency room of an Aspen Hospital for treatment relating to kidney failure with his pop diva wife Mariah Carey close by for support.
Although Mariah categorized Cannon’s illness as only a “mild kidney failure”, she made sure she wasn’t far away from her sickly hubby as she tweeted pictures to their family and fans asking to keep Nick in their prayers and thanking them for support. Here’s a sample of one her tweets;
“Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure.”
Mariah continued her pleas via her website explaining the seriousness of Nick’s condition.
“We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.”
Mariah explained the irony of their predicament as it was almost a year ago when she was stuck in the hospital after giving birth to their twins Monroe and Moroccan.
“This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.”
Mariah continued by stating that their family would be grounded in Aspen until The America’s Got Talent host was strong enough to travel.
“We’re doing OK but we’re straaaaaanded in Aspen. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK.”
And although Mariah also tweeted photos of herself posing next to a sickly Nick, she emphasized that Cannon’s situation was serious and therefore nothing to make light of.
“I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.”
Mariah and Nick were celebrating the holidays with their twins Monroe and Moroccan where they hoped to bring in the New Year with plenty of snow and family memories. Unfortunately Nick’s present state of health is now their present focus as they lean on each other for support. Get better soon Nick! We’re all rooting for you.
