It appears actress Debra Messing is messing around with her on set love interest Will Chase, who like her, still needs to square things away with his ex.
So here’s the break down; Debra Messing recently announced she’s ending her 10 year long marriage to producer Daniel Zelman as Chase announced he was divorcing his actress wife Stephanie Gibson after their split this month.
Wow…Debra certainly isn’t taking any down time and she’s keeping things in the Hollywood family by dating her Smash (an NBC sitcom premiering February) co-star Chase for the past six weeks.
An on-set source stated that although their flirting wasn’t initially obvious, given the two play a couple also caught in a tangled love affair; it soon got hot and heated in the progressing weeks.
“They had so many scenes together and they were playing people with a romantic past so it didn’t seem odd. Things only really started to heat up between them several weeks ago.”
The source also confirmed that although Chase only recently left his wife, he had nothing to do with the split between Debra and Daniel Zelman by stating;
“Will didn’t break up Debra and Daniel. It was over before she met Will.”
While Chase also shares two teenage girls with his wife, it doesn’t appear he and Debra will be creating a Brady Bunch situation as Debra has decided to temporarily continue living with her husband for the sake of their seven year old son Roman.
Dating someone you’re working with can often get messy, so hopefully Debra and Chase will keep their wits about them in an effort to keep things professional when need be. What do you think, is dating a co-worker a bad idea?
