Rihanna Shares Outrage Over Racist Encounter In Portugal

Rihanna fires back at racist man in a Portugal hotel who hurled racist comments her way. More on that later. First, let’s tackle Rihanna’s pregnancy rumor and her soon-to-be controversial ‘You Da One’ music video.

Rihanna has reignited pregnancy rumors after she left the stage to vomit! Rihanna was performing at Pavilhao Atlantico in Lisbon, Portugal over the weekend. During

her hit song ‘What’s My Name’ Rihanna reportedly ran off stage but made it back in time for the next track, ‘Rude Boy’. RiRi revealed what happened when a fan asked if she had any “cool memories”:

“Yep! I ran off stage to throw up, halfway thru Whats My Name…made it back juuuust in time for RudeBoy.”

It’s likely Rihanna is NOT pregnant but is still recovering from overworking her body during her extensive LOUD tour.

If the baby rumors aren’t enough to keep tongues wagging, Rihanna’s recent still from the set of her ‘You Da One’ music video certainly do the trick.   A shot taken from Rihanna’s back shows her either exhaling or inhaling smoke.

#YOUDAONEVIDEO you know im already in trouble 4 this but, i like to keep yall in the loop,” Rihanna tweeted after posting the picture.

If it’s not one thing it’s another with Rihanna…at least the girl knows how to keep herself in the news!

Now back to her racist encounter in Portugal, Rihanna blasted the man below on Twitter:

‘I just met the most racist c**t EVER!!! This man said the craziest s**t about black women – called us dogs, sl**s, we don’t look like s**t, we don’t belong in the same hotels.

‘Needless to say, the #N**** in me came out! Bajan accent and all! Lol! Turns out the hotel manager’s black.

‘Oh and he had the NERVE to diss black people in his tighty whitey’s!!!! SMH…and tbh a lil’ black wouldn’t hurt him.’

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
