Kurt Sutter Beats Lawsuit Claiming FX's 'Sons of Anarchy' Was Stolen

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Fx Kurt Sutter beats lawsuit claiming that ‘Sons of Anarchy’ was stolen.

Ok here is the story: Chuck Zito sued for $5 million back in June 2010 claiming he developed a show called “Nomads” that was later titeled “The Wild Angels that followed a outlaw biker gang, that he pitched to FX executive John Landgraf that was ultimately turned down.” Zito is claming that Kurt Sutter’ ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ was his Idea that he pitched to FX as The Wild Angels.

The lawsuit stated that FX was obligated to pay Zito the value of his Ideas, Hire him to work on the series and credit him on screen as creator.

Sutter thought that the claims were absolutely baseless and chose to express himself via twitter-  “HAVING THE F***ING IDEA IS NOT THE SHOW. THERE HAVE BEEN DOZENS OF OUTLAW MOTORCYCLE TV DRAMAS PITCHED IN THE LAST TEN YEARS. NONE OF THEM HAS MADE IT TO SERIES, EXCEPT SOA. BECAUSE THEY SUCKED.”

The Judge agreed with Sutter ruling that Sons of Anarchy was independently created and Zito has no case. The Judge threw out the case saying “There is no reason for the case to continue past the summary judgment phase”

‘Sons Of Anarchy ‘was just picked up for the 5th and final season.
