Chris Meloni has booked a role on HBO’s ‘True Blood’. The former ‘Law and Order: SVU’ star will join the season 5 cast as an “ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands.” He will be a season 5 regular.
Meloni is no stranger to working on an HBO series, he previously played Chris Keller on HBO’s gritty drama Oz from 1998 to 2003.
Earlier this year, Meloni decided to part ways with his role as Detective Elliot Stabler on the long-running NBC drama ‘Law and Order’.
