Meet Herieth Paul: The New Model On The Block

Tanzanian born Herieth Paul is featured in the latest issue of Dress to Kill magazine. Paul who moved from Tanazania to Canada at 14 and then to New York City a year later began modeling in 2010 at 15. A little over a year and she’s garnering comparisons to supermodels Grace Jones and Naomi Campbell, closed for the Fall 2011 Thakoon show, covered French Elle, opened the Spring 2012 show for Edun and much more.

In an interview as a newcomer with Womens Wear Daily (WWD) Herieth talked her inspiration and future goals.

Is there a model that inspires you?
“Naomi Campbell. I’ve got the bangs. I kind of look like her. And Chanel Iman. She’s amazing. She started really young like me. She’s not like one of those models that you hear doing bad stuff. She just does what she loves. Today a photographer told me I look like a black Kate Moss. I’ve never heard that before. I’ve heard Tyra Banks, Jessica White, but I’ve never heard a black Kate Moss.”

What are your modeling goals?
“My goal for modeling is that by 18 I’m going to be on every cover of every magazine. And model for everyone: Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Gucci, Prada. You name it, I’ll do it!”

It’s an ambitious goal and we’ll be watching! Check out these gorgeous pics from Herieth’s editorial spread for Dress to Kill magazine plus her CK One video. Minus the cigs this spread is A+!
