Awesome: James Cameron Converting 'Titanic' to 3D For Upcoming Re-Release(Video)

James Cameron is certainly known throughout Hollywood and the cinema world as the highest selling director of all time. One of the films that leader directed, which was the highest grossing movie ever, is soon coming to 3-D.

Cameron is currently in the process of bringing the 1997 blockbuster ‘Titanic’ back to the movie theaters, but this time it will be in 3-D format.  Much like his feelings on ‘Avatar’, Cameron said that he would not convert ‘Titanic‘ to 3D if he couldn’t do it right.

The original film garnered several Oscars, and starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. At the time, ‘Titanic’ was the highest grossing film ever, until Cameron was able to top his own feat with the animated cult classic Avatar.

It was in 2009 that Cameron announced that ‘Titanic‘ would be converted into 3-D format and the release of the film is set for April 6,2012. The star director has mentioned that this new version will be better than the original one, with enhanced sound and with awesome 3-D graphics and illusions.
