MGM Studios, Sony Pictures, and EON Productions held a press conference this morning in London to officially announce the name of the 23rd James Bond film. The new flick has been labeled Skyfall.
Director Sam Mendes, Judi Dench, Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Javier Bardem all attended the conference, which was held at Pinewood Studios.
According to sources, the cast and crew didn’t talk too much about the film but an official synopsis was released:”Bond’s loyalty to M is tested to the full as her past comes back to haunt her. As M16 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
Mendes also mentioned that Skyfall “doesn’t connect with the last two films.”
Filming for the movie will start November 7, 2011.
