Update-Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria has no patience for the media! The actress blasted media outlets for alleging she’s dating Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes. Longoria divorced San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker last year after three years of marriage. She even took the liberty to remove the tattoo of their wedding date from her wrist. Eva is reportedly happily dating Eduardo Cruz, actress Penelope Cruz’s younger brother.
Here’s the story. So last night when Eva was spotted with Los Angeles forward Matt Barnes, it was unclear if she was offering support/advice or if she wanted to sink her teeth into the newly single baller.
It hasn’t been two weeks since Matt announced his split from Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan. And keep in mind Eva is still dating Penelope’s younger brother Eduardo Cruz. But earlier this week witnesses at the Greenwich Village restaurant tells NY Post that Eva and Matt were “very flirty”.
While Eva was sitting with two other associates, stylist Robert Verdi and entrepreneur Loren Ridinger, her focus was clearly on Matt.
“There was definitely a spark between Eva and Matt. They weren’t seated next to each other, but you could tell there was something between them. There was a little hand-holding over the table and a lot of eye contact.”

Despite the witnesses account of the evening, a rep tells NY Post, “Eva and Matt are friends and are working together doing charity work for Eva’s Padres Contra El Cáncer. She was at the dinner amongst her other friends.”
Well Eva Longoria is sick and tired of the media twisting her stories. She posted on her ‘Who Say’ page and denied the rumors;
“First Jessica Simpson, now this. Once again, press gets it wrong, Matt Barnes and I are not dating!”
“We are doing a charity event together for Padres and Athletes vs Cancer.”
Well, Scarjo did deny she was seeing Sean Penn…until she was seeing Sean Penn. But we’ll go with Eva Longoria on this one.
