Nicki Minaj made a surprise visit to the Ellen DeGeneres show after announcing the American Music Award nominees to meet her number 1 fan: YouTube sensation 8-year old Sophia Grace Brownlee and her 5-year old cousin Grace.
Sophia Grace and her hype girl gushed about her love for Nicki. The duo became a hit on YouTube with 7 million hits from their cover of Super Bass. Despite her commanding presence Sophia completely melted to pieces when Nicki appeared. She jumped and hugged the singer with no apparent desire to let go. Nicki told Ellen after viewing their hit video: “Within five seconds of seeing this video I was calling everyone. I was also receiving a billion emails. Everyone was like you have to see this little girl.”
Ellen requested Nicki to perform Super Bass with Sophia. Armed with a real microphone Sophia immediately took command of the stage and the song!! It was completely adorable.
