Update-Basketball Wives executive producer Shaunie O’Neal claims Kimsha Artest wasn’t fired from Basketball Wives LA. Quite frankly it’s a little hard to believe since Shaunie also admitted she wasn’t aware of the Los Angeles casting after the process had already began. Why would she now know who was or wasn’t fired? And she also admits she doesn’t care? In a nutshell Shaunie is telling Kimsha to take her issues up with VH1!
Here’s a little background on the story; last week we reported that Kimsha slammed Shaunie on Facebook claiming that Shuanie cut her from the show but kept Laura Govan – who reportedly slept with Shaq – though Laura has now repeatedly denied the claim.
We found it a bit odd that Shaunie who didn’t even choose the cast for Basketball Wives LA would have a say on who should get fired. Shaunie set the record straight and confirmed our suspicions with Madamenoire.
What’s your relationship with Kimsha?
We’ve never met, so there is no relationship. I’ve met Ron [Artest] before a couple times, but never Kimsha, ever. I can’t say anything about her because I don’t know her.
“I don’t know how you fight someone that you’ve never met nor talked to,” O’Neal said Friday, laughing off the rumor that she was “beat up” by Artest, with Madame Noire. “We’ve never been in the same place at the same time that I know of. And I would never ever fight somebody, I guess you’d have to meet them first to do that, and that’s never happened. So, I really don’t know where all that came from. It’s funny though, because she took a jab at Jen over her.”
So Kimsha’s still on the show?
Well yeah, last I knew, she’s still on the show. I’m honestly very hands off with Basketball Wives L.A. I did not cast, nor did I care to cast and I could care less who’s on the show. When they were casting I was very very hands off. LA was already cast by the time I heard the line up and we were still filming Miami. Miami is my baby, it’s my focus.

Kimsha, well Ron Artest/Metta World Peace has since denied Kimsha slammed Shaunie on Facebook and their relationship with VH1 is solid. We’ll see.
Does anyone else find it odd that Shaunie O’Neal openly admits that she has no idea what’s going on within a show she helped create??
