Jessica Chastain wins the heat in the race for the role of a soldier that meets Tom Cruise on a barron burnt up earth, in the new film “Horizons”. Alongside Chastain, the film’s actors may include Olga Kurylenko(Quantum of Solace), Brit Marling (Another Earth) and Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). Chastain may have won the battle for female lead, but another casting selection will be made to play Cruise’s wife. Tron Legacy’s director Joseph Kosinski directs Cruise in ‘Horizons.”
If you don’t know already, ‘Horizons‘ is set in a war ravenous future, where humans live high above the clouds after the earth’s surface is damaged by war. Cruise is a soldier sent to guard the earth where he meets a beautiful drifter (Chastains). They begin a journey that makes Cruise question his views about the earth.
