Kim Kardashian Talks Babies Weeks After Marriage; Mel B Gives Birth

Kim Kardashian has barely been married a month and she she’s already talking babies!   Just days after returning from their honeymoon in Italy, Kim opens up to US Weekly regarding her desire to not only have children soon, but to also synchronize the births with sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

“It would be a dream that all three of us, even Kourtney again, were pregnant at the same time. That would be amazing.”

Khloe seems well on board as she’d previously expressed desires to start a family with LA Lakers star husband Lamar Odom. And although Kourtney already has a son Mason with her boyfriend Scott Disick, she too desires to have more children.

Kim continued the interview by describing how her increased desire for children has not diminished her joy in being a wife.

“Being a mom is something I’ve always wanted. I love being a wife, it’s really fun, but I don’t feel any different. I still have that exciting, dating feeling with him.”

According to the Daily mail, currently the happy couple is camped out at Manhattan’s chic Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel while Kim shoots her reality show, Kourtney and Kim take New York and promoting their new Sears clothing collection.

In other baby news, not counting Beyonce – though we’re certain Kim Kardashian can only hope to break a Twitter record with her future pregnancy announcement; Spice Girl Mel B gave birth to her a healthy baby girl this morning. The third daughter for Scary Spice and the third Spice Girl delivery this year! Mel’s publicist confirmed the news,

‘This evening Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte welcomed their new baby girl in Los Angeles.

‘This is the first child for Mel and Stephen and both mum and baby are happy, healthy and doing well.’

Celebrities have joined the business of having babies, with or without a husband in recent years – so it’s no surprise Kim Kardashian doesn’t want to be left out.

Congrats to Mel B!

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
