Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will make her acting debut in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” tomorrow and is eager to add more acting roles to her newly minted repertoire. While strutting her stuff in a Victoria Secrets commercial, director Michael Bay spotted the model and wanted to cast her as the replacement Megan Fox.
Michael tells Britain’s Evening Standard, “Out of 500 women around the world there was something about her. I saw her on a Victoria’s Secrets commercial. I didn’t think I’d ever, ever hire a model and there was just something about her.
“When I was talking to her and I said ‘Would you ever want to get into movies’ and she said ‘I’d love to’ so I wrote her an email. I said this could be a life changing thing, these emails don’t really happen much in life and would you be interested in auditioning for me and she thought I was joking. And she freaked out. But she did a really good job. She comes off as really sincere. She’s got a lot of natural talent.”
Rosie shares her audition anxiety and desires to continue acting with MTV,
Does this interview give you the impression that Michael Bay is selling Rosie Huntington-Whiteley the same pipe dream he sold Megan Fox? While there are always roles for hot models in films can Rosie really build her acting career from Transformers?
