Issa Rae’s recent cover story for Mairie Claire magazine may leave some blushing. The successful actress, writer, producer, and director said she’s open to receiving advice about a lot of things but not, “who I’m f*cking.”
Rae was featured in the magazine’s “Fresh Faces” issue alongside, Riley Keough, Katherine Langford, Yara Shahidi, and Sophie Turner. The 33-year-old talent took viewers by storm with her hit webseries “Awkward Black Girl”. Since then, Rae has secured numerous deals including a development deal with HBO that airs her hit show “Insecure”. On her path to success, Rae has been willing to accept input on her work and even how to raise kids but she’s adamant about one thing remaining private.
The producer told the magazine, “I get so much feedback about everything. The one thing I don’t need feedback on is who I’m sleeping with.”
Rae shared a similar sentiment with Vogue earlier this year, “I don’t want any input. As a writer, you put everything on the table. I’ll take input on kids if I’m going to have kids. How do I not kill the kids? Work? Give me the input. Any other aspect of my life? Give me the input. But who I’m f-cking? No, I don’t need input. I’m good.”
