Singer and reality star Amara La Negra may have clashed with Cardi B‘s sister Hennessy Carolina, but she still desires to extend the olive branch. Amara expresses she wants to create music with the Grammy-nominated artist.

Cardi B’s sister Hennessy scraped with Amara about the interview the singer had on the Breakfast Club. Amara spoke about the difficulties with her music crossing over into mainstream music, colorism and identifying as Afro-Latina. When the singer was asked about Cardi’s success she said she may have an easier time because of her light complexion. This comment rubbed the rapper’s little sister the wrong way, to which she responded, “People f*ck with Cardi because of who she is, not because she’s light skinned.”

There was minimal back and forth between Amara and Hennessy since, and it ended that they agreed to disagree. Despite having a disagreement with the “Bodak Yellow” singer Amara still wishes to pursue a musical collaboration. “I would love to record with Cardi B,” the singer told People En Espanol. She continued, “I have contacted her several times and it has not happened yet, but I would love to collaborate with her who is Dominican and Afro-Latin like me and we both come from the same franchise, Love and Hip Hop. I believe in female empowerment. Union makes force.”
