Jay Z Serves Up ‘Pound Cake’ to Manchester Magna Carta Fans

Jay-Z-Magna-Carta-TourJay Z started his Magna Carta World Tour this weekend, but his set list’s range was much wider than his new album. Hov gave his English fans songs ranging from Reasonable Doubt to his newest offering from Drake’s Nothing Was The Same’s “Pound Cake.”

According to vibe.com:

“During his Magna Carta World Tour kick-off show in Manchester, England this week, Hov performed his feature on Drake’s new album Nothing Was the Same for the first time ever. The 2-part track, ‘Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2’ features Jay Z on the Sara Lee-friendly first slice of the song. Jigga sandwiched ‘Pound Cake’ into his set after ‘Dead Presidents II’ off his 1996 Reasonable Doubt debut. Other songs from Hov’s 30-track set included ‘Holy Grail,’ ‘Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit,’ ‘Oceans,’ ‘Empire State of Mind,’ ‘Run This Town, ‘Tom Ford,’ ‘Encore’ and ‘Izzo (H.O.V.A.)'”

Jay Z, who recently graced the cover of Vanity Fair, announced the Magna Carta World Tour last month and is scheduled to hit North America in November.
