The Wedding Can Wait: Jessica Simpson is Pregnant Again!

Jessica Simpson is pregnant again just seven months after giving birth to her first child. The star says the pregnancy was “definitely unplanned’ but her and fiance Eric Johnson are thrilled with the news. After giving birth to an almost ten pound daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson; and landing a contract with Weight Watchers to help her lose the more than 60 pounds she put on during her pregnancy, no one expected her to become pregnant again so soon.

With all the media scrutiny over her weight gain during her first pregnancy, Simpson worked hard to drop 60 pounds in six months. She is one of the newest spokespersons for Weight Watchers, encouraging women who have recently given birth to lose weight in a healthy manner. Simpson was in the midst of planning her wedding to Johnson as well. With the news of the new baby on the way, it is unclear if the one-time reality TV star will be postponing her wedding or moving ahead.

Speaking of nuptials, reportedly the Dukes of Hazard star was looking forward to having “one of the most amazing weddings of all time” when she and Johnson tied the knot. Earlier this year, she gave an interview to HELLO, a British magazine and dished on her desire to look dazzling in her wedding dress. She said, “…I can’t wait… I want to feel really great in a wedding dress.” Plenty of women walk down the aisle pregnant, but given the huge media focus on her weight during her last pregnancy, it would be understandable if the star pushed her wedding plans back until after she’s had the second child.

No matter what, Jessica is enjoying motherhood. Even with her newfound weight loss and her great relationship with former football star Johnson, she is still most proud of becoming a mother. Simpson said, “She’s (daughter Maxwell) my career at the moment. I know I was always meant to be a mom and I think I’m doing a really good job. I’m the most aware I’ve ever been.”

Congratulations to the happy couple.
