Lindsay Lohan rejected an offer to join “Dancing with the Stars” on the upcoming season despite the fact that she is in financial turmoil and could really use the $550,000 gig.
It is no secret that things have been rough for Lohan who had to take money from Charlie Sheen just to pay off her massive IRS debt, so you would think she would jump at the opportunity to earn $550,000 and possible sponsorships just by dancing around on live TV.
According to TMZ, the dancing contest reality show reportedly made Lindsay an offer that maxed out at $550,000 to be on the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.”
Sources explained that Lindsay may be broke, but she has way too much pride to turn to reality TV for money.
“Sources close to Lindsay tell us, the actress was made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season,” TMZ reported. “But Lindsay… shut them down, telling friends she’s never consider doing reality TV.”
Stars such as Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian, and Gladys Knight had no problem being a part of the reality show, but apparently the “Mean Girls” actress is above that kind of entertainment.
She also told friends that she would rather stick with acting despite the fact that her big screen career isn’t going all that well right now.
Her new film “The Canyons” have been getting some rough reviews and turned out to be a big flop. In addition to putting out yet another bad film, the actress was reportedly very difficult to work with on set and rumor has it she forced camera crews to strip down so she would feel more comfortable during a nude scene in the movie.
The commotion is encouraging most filmmakers to stay away from Lindsay which means she might want to give reality TV a shot if she wants to avoid anymore IRS troubles.
Producers for the show refused to comment on the situation saying “We don’t comment on casting.”
Perhaps the troubled actress just has a few more plans for getting the bills paid?
Recent photos have linked the “Liz & Dick” actress back to Max George from the British boy band The Wanted.
It seemed their romance had fallen apart, but apparently the couple may be rekindling their flame.
Lindsay posted the picture of her with Max on Instragram where both stars seem to be happy and having a great time despite the fact that he called Lohan a groupie not too long ago.
Maybe she doesn’t mind being a groupie to the British star if it means she may have some financial perks?
“She was good to party with, but there’s definitely not going to be any babies on the horizon,” he said of the young actress. “She can party nearly as hard as we can.”
Hopefully he’s the one paying for drinks because in a few months, Mrs. Lohan might not be able to afford the part lifestyle either.
