Grammy award winning singer Whitney Houston can explain her recent airline scuffle on one word: Exhaustion. Whitney nearly missed the first day of shooting for the remake of Sparkle in Detroit over a Delta flight seat belt scuffle.
On Wednesday Whitney boarded a Delta flight out of Atlanta but somehow decided to overlook the standard procedure of buckling up before takeoff.
According to TMZ, Houston refused one flight attendant’s request to buckle up until another attendant threaten to remove her from the flight. TMZ states that Whitney “allowed” a crew member to buckle her up.
A source close to singer stated,
Whitney “overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight but she’s still 100% sober and was on the way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie.”
Another source added to People,
“She wasn’t drunk, drinking or on drugs; she was just exhausted.”
Well we’re happy to hear: A. Ms Houston is still sober and B. She’s heading out to work!
The Sparkle remake will star Tika Sumpter, Jordin Sparks (Sparkle) and Whitney Houston as Sparkle’s mother. Looking forward to it!
