Pippa Middleton lands the cover of U.K’s Tatler August issue aptly titled
“Pippa: The Bottom Line.” The image was captured on the day of her big sister Duchess of Cambridge’s (Kate Middleton) Royal Wedding. Whether deserving or undeserving, that day…in that Sarah Burton dress…Pippa Middleton became a celebrity. Even as Wimbledon came to a close, Pippa was the second most important highlight of games.
In the issue, writer Annabel Rivkin said this of Pippa,
“Pippa seems almost to have become the whole point of the most recent royal wedding. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are jolly and popular; the consensus seems to be that William has chosen wisely and that Kate is a solid, grounded middle-class soul who will inject some focus into a royal family battered by its own human frailty.”
She added, “But while Kate and William bounce off to Wales, where he can be a helicopter rescue pilot and she can be a housewife, Pippa…has gone global.”
Pippa was also captured while strolling through London, England today (7.4.11). We’re waiting to see how/if Pippa Middleton will capitalize on her new found celebrity – otherwise – what’s the point?
