Six people have been injured in a drive-by shooting near a McDonald’s in the California city of Palo Alto.
The incident came just as the National Rifle Association wrapped up a glitzy convention to mark the defeat of a new gun control law. An array of celebrities, right-wing politicians and newsmakers all appeared at the annual event, which organizers say, shows just how powerful the firearms lobby remains.
