While a “loss” is something rarely associated with Oprah Winfrey, the media mogul has had her fair share of losses this year. Her network has struggled since its launch, and now a poor housing market has forced her to drop the asking price in half for her Chicago apartment.
Prudential Rubloff Properties has listed the apartment, located in an historic 1913 Beaux-Arts building, at $2.8 million, a significant reduction from its original $5.6 million asking price. According to RadarOnline, Winfrey bought the apartment located in Chicago’s ritzy Gold Coast neighborhood in 2006, but never moved in due to fear of nosy neighbors.
