Cyn Santana traded in her long, luscious wigs for her natural hair. The cast member from “Love and Hip Hop: New York” flaunted her real, thick locks on social media to give fans a glimpse of her new hairstyle. The 27-year-old model usually posts photos to the social media platform that highlight her lace front wigs and makeup, so fans were shocked to see the New York beauty baring it all for the internet.
The mother of one posted a video to Instagram on April 4 that depicted her showing off her natural hair. Santana was scratching her tresses as the song “Candy Girl” by New Edition played in the background. Santana seemingly ditched her wigs during her new shelter-in-place life. The clip began with the reality star singing the lyrics to the R&B song and ended with her yelling, “Ooo. It feels so good to scratch. F**ck these wigs.”
Santana implied she wanted her tresses to extend past her back by the time the social distancing phase comes to a halt. “Trynna come out this quarantine like rapunzel 😭,” she wrote in her caption. She sought out hair advice from fans on the types of products they use to make their hair flourish. Many users were happy to help the Savage X Fenty brand ambassador achieve long, beautiful hair. However, most of her fans expressed that they think she looks stunning with her naturally wild mane and encouraged her to discard her wigs forever.
“You’re so pretty either way💜💜,” a user gushed.
“You should shave your head🔥🔥😍😍😍,” a second fan encouraged.
A third fan wrote, “Wow I NEVER knew she had short hair.”
“I like your natural hair over the wigs Cyn! 💕,” a fourth said.
A fifth user commented, “I love your natural hair!😍😍 You just need some TLC ❤️.”
“You don’t need wigs, Your hair is already pretty,” a sixth mentioned.
“You don’t need them anyway. 🤷🏻♀️,” said a seventh.
Santana will most likely be giving up her hair pieces during her stay-at-home period, but she won’t be done wearing them forever. She admitted on Instagram that her wigs actually made her hair grow and suggested that she was just kidding when she said “F**ck these wigs” in her video.
