Kandi Burruss debuted the first episode of “Speak On It” for the season 12 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Sunday night. But fans were more interested in her likeness to daughter Riley Burruss instead.
The web show in which Burruss responds to episodes of “RHOA” covered everything in the first episode of the season. From Kenya Moore’s motherhood to Porsha Williams’ split from beau Dennis McKinley. Burruss also touched on her surrogacy journey.

But fans didn’t have to watch the video to catch the striking resemblance between 43-year-old Burruss and her 17-year-old daughter.
“Aging backwards, looking just like Riley. đ”
“I thought you where Riley there for a minute.”
“When she wear glasses she looks just like her daughter”
“I was like ‘Wow Rileyâs hosting’ lol. Speak on it!!!!!!”
“Me too! I thought she was Riley. đ” someone agreed.
“I honestly thought your thumbnail was a picture of a Riley!”
Burruss and Riley have gotten mixed up before.
When the mother-daughter duo attended an event for Nicki Minajâs âFendi Prints Onâ limited-edition collection in October, several of the “RHOA” star’s fans remarked that Burruss’ teen child looked a lot like her famous mom.
âThat your mini youâ
âAbsolutely beautifulđâźď¸Riley is growing up so fast into a gorgeous young lady. You both look like twins. #twins #beautifulmotherdaughter #happyâ
âTwinningâŚâ
âSisters, lol!â
They may not actually be sisters, but Burruss and Riley’s closeness is something that has been apparent since the singer joined “RHOA” in season 2. As Riley has grown older, Burruss’ family has changed. She wed husband Todd Tucker in 2013, and by the couple’s three-year anniversary they welcomed son Ace Wells Tucker. Now Burruss and Tucker are preparing to welcome a baby girl via surrogate within the next few months.
But despite the growing number of family members, Burruss always makes time for her oldest child. The two embarked on a trip to Japan â just the two of them â this past summer. While in the Asian country, the duo soaked up the sights of Tokyo and Kyoto and dined on the local cuisine, including eating colorful noodles at Kawaii Monster Cafe and drinking lattes with art in the form of Bart Simpson on them. They also raced around a Mario Kart-themed go-kart track at Street Kart Tokyo Bay. It was all documented on Burruss and Riley’s Instagram accounts for their followers to see.
