Like most couples, Carmelo and La La Anthony‘s relationship hasn’t been without its rough patches, but these days they seem to be doing wonderfully.
On Thursday, the veteran hoops player posted a Valentine’s Day message to his wife of nine years at a time when his NBA career is at a standstill. That’s because he was traded twice in less than a year, while La La’s career seems to be thriving with her role on “Power” and the other projects she’s involved in.
“The Best Thing To Hold Onto In Life Is Each Other,” wrote Melo. “Happy ❤️ Day to my Earth 🌍 @lala Love You!!! #STAYME7O.”
Fans of the couple immediately gushed over the photo, which shows Melo and La La at an exotic location with their arm around each other. The post comes after they split in April of 2017 and rekindled things early last year, which folks also commented on.
“Really happy yall figured it out. Blessings to yall,” one person wrote.
“This has made my Valentine’s Day,” wrote another. “I’m so happy to see you two together!!!”
There were other people who told Melo not to worry about his current basketball woes, because being married to La La is a victory in itself.
“And they said you couldn’t score anymore,” one person commented. “Smh! You just nailed a three pointer with an and one game winner right there King! 😀 Happy Love Day to your Queen & you my brother.”
In April of last year, La La talked about working things out with her husband for the sake of their 11-year-old son Kiyan after being apart.
“We’re good,” she told People. “I mean, we’ve been together for a really long time so we’re figuring out how to make it work.”
