Singer K. Michelle appears to be uplifting fans after reflecting on the positive in her life.
The R&B artist took to Instagram on Jan. 23 and spoke about how much her life has changed just within the last year.
“2018 was a rough year for me,” she said in the video. “Health wise [and] everything, just depressed. 2019 has been lit already.”
K. Michelle then took a second to reflect on her former explosive behavior from when she appeared on the reality show “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” in 2012 compared to the poised demeanor she bares now.
“Who would’ve ever thought that the girl who was shaking the table and throwing drinks would be booked to do motivational speaking to women,” the singer continued. “Who would’ve thought that. This year I’ve been booked to come out and speak to women and tell my story… I went through some s–t and it didn’t take me out. I fought it and overcome it and you can do the same thing. Your life can be great.”

The star went on to say in her caption that she’s grateful for the obstacles she’s been through and is looking forward to helping fans by the booking engagements she has lined up for them.
“You never know, what God has in store for you. I’m really shocked by this! For so long people have told me that my feelings aren’t valid and that my struggle would be the very thing that stopped me,” the singer wrote on Wednesday. “I’m currently booking one offs and my agency is booking tour dates for you. I want the staging to be perfect. You know we put on real tours and shows! Every year we elevate the skill❤️.”
Fans fawned over K. Michelle’s uplifting video and commended her for seemingly turning over a new leaf.
“That is so awesome you go girl we need this from you,” one fan wrote. ” You have come such a long ways ❤️❤️.”
Another added, “We love you cause real recognize real… life happens ish happens n some of us dont have real ones in our lives. GROWTH!!!💋💎.”
K. Michelle hasn’t necessarily always been in the best mental space. In 2018, she spoke on “The Real” about dealing with depression and low self-esteem that led to her body alteration.
“For me, I’ve always been open. I’ve always been curvy, but it was never enough,” the singer confessed. “I had a big a$$. I already had one. It was insecure. I was like, ‘I want a big a$$, I want some titties, I want some teeth. This is what I wanna do.’ I just did it. It felt good. It was a temporary bandage on some issues with me, and it felt good at the moment. Now I just want to be me, who my mama made me.”
K. Michelle underwent four major surgeries and two blood transfusions after getting her 2012 illegal butt injections removed. The star said the only surgery she has left to do is reconstruction on her buttocks.
