Tomi Lahren Gets Smacked Back to Reality After Telling Former First Lady Michelle Obama to ‘Sit Down’

Right-wing agitator Tomi Lahren is at it again, this time taking aim at former First Lady Michelle Obama.

In a tweet, the Fox News commentator chided Mrs. Obama for describing her husband, former POTUS Barack Obama, as a great leader and president. Lahren begged to differ.

“Michelle Obama said we ‘had’ a great president. By what measure? Not in economic growth. Not in border enforcement. Not in strength on the world stage. Sit down, Michelle,” Lahren wrote to her 1.18 million followers.

Lahren, who’s set to host a show on Fox’s new subscription service called “Fox Nation,” was reacting to comments the former first lady made during a speaking event in Las Vegas the day before.

“Here’s what we have to do,” she began, addressing the crowd at the “When We All Vote” rally. “If we want qualified people that we trust, then people have to vote. Because you can’t vote some of the time and then sit out.”

“You know, we saw that happen. We experienced that. But we had a great president,” she added, referring to former President Obama. ” … But here’s the problem. While some folks are frustrated and tuned out and staying home on Election Day, trust me, other folks are showing up. “Democracy continues with or without you.”

“When We All Vote,” a non-profit launched this summer, is an initiative aimed at registering new voters, The Hill reported. Obama serves as co-chair of the organization.

Lahren’s nasty remarks drew the ire of Mrs. Obama’s supporters, however, it wasn’t long before they dragged her through the mud.

“Tomi Lahren who has a bachelor’s degree from UNLV told First Lady Michelle Obama, who graduated cum laude from Princeton and a JD from Harvard Law, to sit down,” comedian Dana Goldberg tweeted. “The delusion in that bleach blonde head of Tomi’s runs DEEP. Just once I would love to see Michelle go low right now.”

“Telling Michelle Obama to ‘sit down?’ You’re trying so hard to be famous,” another critic wrote. “Do you really think fame is the key to life? All you’re doing is showing the world how desperate you are. You’re just a very, very, very stupid individual.”

One person declared Michelle Obama could stand or sit down whenever she pleases, and when she does, “it will be on a THRONE BECAUSE MICHELLE OBAMA IS A QUEEN OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THE RESISTANCE. SHE COULD LAY DOWN AND STILL BE HIGHER UP THE TOTEM POLE OF GRACE AND HUMANITY THAN YOU’LL EVER BE.”
