Rapper Killer Mike defended the need for gun ownership in a sit-down interview with NRA-TV on Thursday, blasting anti-gun protesters of racial hypocrisy.
Killer Mike is no stranger when it comes to vocalizing his strong beliefs. When discussing gun control laws with attorney and NRA-TV host Colin Noir, the “Run the Jewels” founder made it clear that Blacks need guns to protect themselves. He added that majority of those protesting against the Second Amendment aren’t dissenting the “Thirteenth Amendment” which permits slavery under certain restrictions.
“A football player just got shot by an armed white man — for a traffic argument. A black teenager got shot by an armed white man in a gas station because… he had played his music loud. Where were you then? Where?” he asked.
Killer Mike continued, “The same people who are telling you we need to abolish the Second Amendment, they’re not there for the documentary of the Thirteenth [Amendment]. They’re not there at your march to end that.”
The “Don’t Die” rapper also pointed out NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch’s comment that “tears of white mothers are like ratings” are true and said pro-gun advocates don’t necessarily teach children how to protect themselves, but only how to prevent violence.
“I have worked as a tireless advocate of children and disenfranchised women in my community. And I have also worked with gun groups like Georgians Against Gun Violence … I say if there’s a table to be sat at, a gun owner needs to be there,” the rapper told Noir. “I told my kids on the school walkout, ‘I love you, [but] if you walk out that school, walk out my house… We are a gun-owning family.”
Killer Mike’s remarks have sparked controversial conversations among fans.

I love Killer Mike.Thats my brother. He made some excellent points about Black gun ownership. The problem is, he is talking about it on the NRA platform & the NRA could give LESS THAN A DAMN about protecting Black people's 2nd Amendment rights. Ask the family of Philando Castille
