Pastor Darnell Scott didn’t take too kindly to Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) comments characterizing President Donald Trump as un-presidential and a “shameful racist.”
During an interview with Fox Business Thursday morning, Scott slammed congressional Democrats like Waters for constantly playing the race card when it comes to Trump.
“This race card that the Democratic party keeps playing is getting played out,” said the pastor, who’s also an avid Trump supporter. “It’s ’bout as worn out as a deck of cards in the penitentiary.”
The pastor was no-holds-barred, however, in his rebuke of Congresswoman Waters and the rest of the Congressional Black Caucus for their show of resistance at Trump’s first State of the Union address Tuesday night.
“She talks about the president [not] behaving presidentially; she needs to act and behave congressionally,” Scott said. You know you have what they have the drunk uncle? Well she acts like the crazy aunt that’s rambling and babbling incessantly over every little thing and her act is becoming very, very stale.”
