Details About Laverne Cox and Beyoncé’s Team-up Coming In September

A secret project is brewing between “Orange Is The New Black” actress Laverne Cox and Beyoncé, which has put social media users in a frenzy.

The Emmy-nominated actress revealed the news on “Access Hollywood Live” Tuesday, Aug. 22, and said the collaboration came to be after the two met at the Grammys in February.

But that doesn’t mean Cox, who didn’t give any details on the effort, knows how Beyoncé chose her.

“I have no idea, to be perfectly honest,” Cox says when asked about the project’s origins. “I’m like, ‘Does she pick out, like, her biggest fans ever and let them work with her?'”

What Cox does know, however, is that she had a completely different reaction to meeting Queen Bey than she expected.

“I thought the first time that I would meet Beyoncé I would totally start crying and freak out,” she says.  “I swear to you, a sense of calm comes over you when you meet the queen.”

Cox added Bey raved about the actress’s appearance on “Lip Synch Battle,” where she performed Destiny’s Child’s “Lose My Breath,” and on Twitter, Cox promised more info will come on Sept. 6

Now, fans are raving over the mystery team-up between the talented blondes.
