White Ex-Cop Turned Pastor to Fellow Caucasians: ‘The Bloodshed On Its Way is Not on Hands of Blacks But is on Our Hands’

In a provocative video posted on his Facebook page July 15, a pastor and former law enforcement officer uses the biblical book of Exodus to explain why cops are more likely to kill unarmed Black men.

In the nearly 8-minute video, Pastor Dana Stevens of the organization Studio 29:11 says that white America has blood on its hands and is responsible for the mistreatment of Black people in the nation.

He borrows the story of Exodus to paint an elaborate allegory for police brutality.

Stevens says:

“Pharaoh ordered the midwives to kill the Hebrew boys when they were born but of course the women did not follow the demands. The Pharaoh became so hateful to the Hebrews that he put out a decree to kill all male baby boy Hebrew slaves by casting them into the Nile River … Look at America, we brought Blacks into this country as slaves and never intended on them to be nothing but slaves but they began to grow in numbers and in power. They eventually fought themselves to some freedom. We became even more cruel and to keep our Black Americans down they lynched but they still rose. Again we used the welfare system and criminal justice system to control and detain them but yet they rose. We built prisons and jails to hold them yet they rose. So now we are doing what Pharaoh did at the end, sending out a decree-KILL EM!!! Repent, acknowledge, and change, if not the bloodshed we will experience is on our hands not on the hands of Black Americans.”
