The Soul Man season 4, episode 5 airs tonight on TV Land.
Nikki plans a weekend getaway with her girlfriends but doesn’t invite Lolli, who vows to show the women she still knows how to party even though she’s a pastor’s wife. Meanwhile, Stamps looks forward to spending some quality time with Boyce.
The Soul Man stars Cedric “The Entertainer” and Niecy Nash and revolves around R&B superstar-turned-minister the Rev. Boyce “The Voice” Ballentine (played by Cedric). Though he’s used to living in Las Vegas at the top of the music charts, he gets “the calling” and decides to relocate to St. Louis with his wife, Lolli (Nash), and his daughter, Lyric (Jazz Raycole), to take over the preaching duties in his father’s church. However, his family is not exactly eager to give up the fabulous superstar life for their new humble one. The comedy also stars John Beasley (Everwood) as Boyce’s father, Barton, and Wesley Jonathan (What I Like About You) as his brother, Stamps.
