“Grey’s Anatomy” season 10, episode 16: “We Gotta Get Out Of This Place” airs tonight on ABC.
In this week’s episode, it’s Richard’s birthday and Bailey invites him to scrub in on the case of a lifetime. Meredith hires a research assistant to help with her portal vein project, and a scorned Callie gives Derek quite the shock. Meanwhile, Shane helps screen candidates for Cristina’s clinical trial and meets a young expectant mother who needs his help.

“The doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital deal with life-or-death consequences on a daily basis – it’s in one another that they find comfort, friendship and, at times, more than friendship. The medical world of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), along with interns Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, George O’Malley and Alex Karev revolved around textbooks and professors yesterday, but today they are experiencing medicine firsthand as surgical interns at Seattle Grace Hospital, a teaching hospital with one of the toughest residency programs in the nation.
