Michigan, Ohio Brawl Leads To Three Ejections

The game was always heated and tensions between Michigan State and Ohio State boiled over into a full out brawl early in the second quarter on Saturday.

Shortly after Michigan grabbed an early 21-14 lead, Ohio State’s Dontre Wilson received the ensuing kickoff and was surrounded by Michigan players after a 16-yard return. In the fight, someone appeared to pull off Wilson’s helmet and the Buckeyes’ freshman return man responded by throwing a punch as the melee ensued.

When the dust cleared, Wilson, Michigan linebacker Royce Jenkins-Stone and Ohio offensive tackle Marcus Hall were ejected. Before Hall left the field, he bid farewell to the crowd in Ann Arbor, MI. with a double middle finger salute.

It’s unclear whether any of the three players will face further discipline. The Buckeyes are slated to play Michigan State in next week’s Big Ten championship game, while the Wolverines are bowl-eligible.

The third-ranked Buckeyes went on to win the thrilling 42-41 game over the Wolverines in another classic edition of the annual rivalry from Michigan Stadium.
