Seattle Seahawks’ cornerback Richard Sherman, who is arguably the biggest trash-talker in NFL, has called out San Francisco coach Jim Harbaugh.
The Seahawks beat the 49ers 29-3 on Sunday night and Sherman, who had one of the Seahawks’ three interceptions, was asked by NFL Network what he had to say to Harbaugh after the game. Sherman said he ran up to his former college coach at midfield to show sportsmanship.
“I told him good job, good game, but he didn’t give me nothing back,” Sherman said. “I guess sportsmanship doesn’t go both ways.”
In a later interview with NBC Sports, Sherman had a message for all the NFL fans who doubted the Seahawks.
“There were a lot of pundits and ignorant idiots who thought we were gonna lose this game,” he said. “Don’t doubt us. Did they not see the last time we played this team?…A lot of things were said this week that we didn’t appreciate. We did what we expected to do.”
Sherman said he had not spoken to Harbaugh since he played four seasons for him at Stanford.
