The new Arsenio Hall Show would not be an Arsenio Hall show without the signature element of the original late-night series; its Posse — and that’s from the host himself.
“Music has always been and will always be center stage at The Arsenio Hall Show, and with my new Posse we’re raising the bar,” said host and executive producer Hall
Yes, the upcoming late-night talker has a new Posse, consisting of a group of musicians he hand-picked because of their collective experience playing with industry veterans and their diverse music genres, including pop, soul, funk, hip hop, rock and R&B.
“These musicians are the go-to talent in the industry and I am ecstatic to share their incredible gifts with my audience,” Hall added in a statement.
The Posse will be led by music director Robin DiMaggio (drums), who will be joined by Alex Al (bass guitar); Rob “Fonksta” Bacon (lead guitar and vocals); Sean Holt (sax, keyboard and vocals); and Victoria Theodore (keyboards and vocals).
Prior to joining the show, DiMaggio toured with recording legends such as Paul Simon, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Dr. Dre, Luther Vandross and Johnny Cash.
Al previously worked with Michael Jackson; Bacon played with George Clinton and DJ Quik; Holt performed with John Legend, Mary J. Blige and is a faculty member at the USC Thornton School of Music; and Theodore has toured with Stevie Wonder.
The Arsenio Hall Show debuts on Sept. 9 as a daily one-hour, nationally syndicated late-night talk show.
