‘Luther Season 3’ New, Intense, Spoiler-filled Clips Released

“Luther”: Season 3 is already on the telly in the UK, but doesn’t air in the U.S. until September. To entice U.S. fans, the BBC has released two new clips, which are filled with spoilers. So if that’s a problem, you may not want to watch.

For those who have not used other means of watching the series, the plot details of its U.S. Season 3 premier might still be sketchy. Here is the official synopsis of the upcoming series.

John Luther, the near-genius detective struggling to cope with his own demons, is back under intense pressure – with two conflicting crimes to investigate and a ruthless ex-cop determined to bring him down. Luther’s life is his job, that is, until love crosses his path and offers him a chance of happiness. Sienna Guillory of “Resident Evil,” “Love Actually” joins the cast as Mary, a woman who works in a vintage clothing shop and meets Luther in a chance encounter. But is Mary ready to accept Luther’s past? Can Luther leave it behind?

We also have learned that Luther will have to contend with his villainous equal—his very own Professor Moriarty!

Season 3 of “Luther” will air on BBC America from September 3-6 at 10pm, essentially turning the short-season show into its own miniseries.

Since it’s already showing across the pond, be careful to avoid all the spoilers lurking about—including the two clips below…
