Game of Thrones Season 3 premiers on TV in just a few days, and of course, the closer we get to that time, the higher the anticipation grows for the power struggles, bloody violence, and vulgar sex scenes featured in the Seven Kingdoms. Let’s not even forget t0 mention those dragons that are all grown up now and look like they can do some real damage.
As we came into the home stretch of our frustrating wait for Season 3, we saw HBO release an extended first trailer along with two new previews, and now the network has unleashed a second trailer with quite a bit of new footage to tease fans’ appetites. Check it out below….
Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Natalie Dormer, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harrington, and Lena Headey reprise their roles from previous season. There will be a number of newcomers which include, Iwan Rheon, Ciarán Hinds, Noah Taylor, Kerry Ingram, Charlotte Hope, Clive Russell, Mackenzie Crook, Paul Kaye, and Nathalie Emmanuel.
Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will serve as the main writers for the series, plus they will also direct one episode each, meaning both will be making their directorial debut this season. Alex Graves, Michelle MacLaren, and David Nutter, and previous Game of Thrones cinematographer, Alik Sakharov will all helm two episodes each. We’ll have to wait to see how all this guys blend the storyline together.
Game of Thrones Season 3 returns to HBO on March 31st in the US, followed by a UK debut a day later, April 1st on Sky Atlantic.
