Christopher Meloni, the Law & Order: SVU vet, has just taken a deal to star in a FOX untitled comedy. Meloni in a comedy? Well, before most of us was born (joke), Meloni began his career in comedies films. He played major roles in sitcoms, The Fanelli Boys, Dinosaurs, and The Boys.
When it comes to this single camera pilot, Meloni will play Jack Dunlevy, a no-nonsense guy who until recently been the go to work early and come home late kind of guy. When his wife returns to law school and he’s tasked with taking a more active role in his children’s lives, he’s stuck with the responsibilities that come with being a full-time parent. Rather than adhere to society’s parenting rules, Jack opts to bring his own blunt style to parenting. Connor Buckley and Claudia Lee will be playing his children.
The SVU alum is quite the commodity in Hollywood, as Lionsgate offers Meloni a role in their comedy, They Came Together, he also has roles in upcoming high-profile films such as 42, Man of Steel, and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
