Captain America: The Winter Soldier is about a year away from hitting the theaters but since Marvel movies are so big and require a longer pre-production stage, it looks like they’re starting to confirm their actors early. Toby Jones, who played the role of Arnim Zola in Captain America: The First Avenger, has recently confirm to HeyUGuys.co.uk that he’ll be back for the sequel.
In the comics, “Zola was a genetic engineer who created clones and various monstrosities for Hitler. He also captured his own mental self, inserting it into a robot, and survived the war.” It is said that Zola may have a new robot body in the sequel because during the first film there was a brief scene where the audience saw the new structure being made.
Besides Jones, the film is slated to star Chris Evans, reprising his role as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, and Sebastian Stan returns as Bucky Barnes. Newcomers are Anthony Mackie in the role of the Falcon and Frank Grillo as Crossbones.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is slated to hit theaters April 4, 2014.
