She’s best known for serving as Secretary of State and National Security Adviser in George Bush’s administration, but now Condoleezza Rice can add CBS News contributor to her resume of prestigious employment.
On Sunday, while Rice appeared as a panelist on Face the Nation, anchor Bob Schieffer, announced the former government official would be joining the network.
“Everybody knows that Condoleezza Rice was President Bush’s Secretary of State, but I’m very pleased to announce that she has a new job as of today,” Schieffer said. “She is joining CBS News as a contributor, we’re honored to have you making your first appearance on CBS here on Face the Nation.”
The network also released a statement saying, “the former Secretary of State will use her insight and vast experience to explore issues facing America at home and abroad.”
Condoleezza Rice will be balancing her new position with her job at Stanford University where she is a professor of Political Science. She’s also a founding partner of a consulting firm, RiceHadleyGates.
