The history of Hollywood may push people to think that the headquarters is full of nothing but money hungry moguls who would put themselves in a position to make money at any expense, while that may be true in some situations, that isn’t the case all the time. Warner Bros. recently presented admirable, selflessness and sensitivity over The Dark Knight Rises Colorado movie theater shooting. The studio has put the trailer to their upcoming and highly anticipated film ‘Gangster Squad’ on halt because of the violence in the scene.
According to Warner Bros, it dawn on the executives that the trailer for the mob movie featured a scene showing a hit-man with a machine gun shooting people in a movie theater. What a coincidence! The distribution executives hastily instructed the studio to “replace it as soon as possible”. Warner Bros. immediately notifying the marketing circuits to pull the possibly sensitive Gangster Squad trailer. That’s class!
