Keith Olbermann Kicked To The Curb…..Again

About a year after being canned by MSNBC, talk show host Keith Olbermann has been fired again.

Yesterday, the outspoken liberal was dismissed from his latest talk show at Al Gore’s Current TV network. Gore released a statement with sourness toward Olbermann.

“Current was . . . founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty to our viewers,” the cable network said in a statement signed by Gore and Current TV co-founder Joel Hyatt. “Unfortunately, these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann, and we have ended it.”

The official statement regarding the reason of Olbermann’s dismissal was that the talk show host allegedly threw fits over the quality of the sets and refused to show up for work.

Olbermann, who was reportedly making $10 million a year, fired back at Current TV via Twitter.

“It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently,” he wrote. “The truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out.” He continued saying his decision to join the network was “a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one.”

Disgraced former New York governor Elliot Spitzer will take over Olbermann’s 8:00pm ET time slot effective immediately, beginning April 6.
