Keep grinding, keep pushing and big things will happen.
That’s what La La Anthony is experiencing in the most literal sense because she just celebrated a huge billboard of herself in New York’s Times Square.
Anthony is one of five people from “Power” who have billboards hanging in the Midtown section of Manhattan, and it’s to promote the sixth season and final season of the show, which starts August 25. And to celebrate she posted a video of herself seeing the ad and getting emotional.
“I really feel like I’m about to cry,” said the mother of one in a clip posted on Wednesday. “Just a girl from Brooklyn, you know with a billboard in Times Square. God is too good, man. This is amazing.”
Anthony captioned the video as well and expressed her appreciation.
“These are the moments you dream of. GOD is too good,” she wrote. “I will never take any of this for granted🙏🏽🙏🏽 (I’m actually crying now🤷🏽♀️)I was born in Brooklyn and to have a billboard in Times Square…I have no words. Just thank you & don’t let anybody tell you what you can’t do!!!”
Anthony also posted another clip of herself standing in front of the ad, and she called it a “major, major career moment.” Her son Kiyan Anthony was there too, who Anthony said she wanted to share the accomplishment with.
Plus she posted a photo of herself with her son in front of the billboard and wrote “Still floating…🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 #powertv #thefinalbetrayal.”
The actress’s fans sent her a lot of congratulatory words afterward.
“Putting you on the show and expanding your character [was the] smartest thing [they] ever could have done! I’m rooting for “Keisha”!!! ❤️,” someone wrote.
“Yessss @lala I took a photo of it yesterday keep soaring Queen,” a second person commented.
“Yes ma’am! 🙌 and Love seeing Kiyan there with you to celebrate your success,” wrote a third.
