‘Blood Is Thicker Than Water’ Arizona Rep Found a Way to Blame Barack Obama for Siblings Attack Ad

Arizona Republican Rep. Paul Gosar recently blamed former President Barack Obama for his six siblings’ appearance in his opponent’s campaign ad on Friday.

Gosar is running for re-election in Arizona’s 4th Congressional District against Democratic opponent David Brill. However, Gosar’s six siblings appeared in Brill’s “A Family Defends Its Honor” campaign ad and urged the public to vote their brother Paul out of office.

“I think my brother has traded a lot of the values we had at our kitchen table,” Gosar’s sister Jennifer Gosar, who supports Brill, said.

The representative’s brother Tim Gosar added, “It’s intervention time. … And intervention time means that you go to vote and you go to vote Paul out.”

In a second video segment Gosar’s siblings slammed him for not “doing anything” about health care, employment or environmental problems.

During an interview with Phoenix radio station KFYI-AM, the congressman addressed the feud with his siblings and told radio host Mike Broomhead that “it does sting” to have his siblings turn against him.

Gosar added, “You know, blood is supposed to be thicker than water.”

He then pinned the blame on Obama for his siblings’ actions.

“But, you know, this actually details exactly what the left, what Barack Obama actually asked progressives to do, is to get into family and friends, in their face, and not let up,” said the congressman.

Gosar’s brother David Gosar told the Arizona Republic that his brother is “capable of saying anything.”

“He’s so extreme that his take on this is that we’re so extreme,” David added. “Here’s a guy who wants to block transgender people from using the bathroom of their gender identification. Here’s a guy who wants to kick DACA kids out of the country, who’s marching with white nationalists in Britain.”

Congressman Gosar took to Twitter on Sept. 22 and expressed his frustration with his siblings. He said his siblings “who choose to film ads against me are all liberal Democrats who hate President Trump” and are “disgruntled Hillary supporters.”

He added, “You can’t pick your family. We all have crazy aunts and relatives, etc., and my family is no different. I hope they find peace in their hearts and let go all the hate.”
