“Money” actor Jesse Williams refused to give up on reducing his child support payments and recently motioned for an appeal in court.
The “Grey’s Anatomy” star filed a notice of appeal on August 20 according to the Blast. The motion was set in place after a judge denied Williams’ request for a new trial over for “extraordinarily high” payments to his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee.
Court officials shot Williams down last week after his plea for lower child support payments. In June, the judge ordered the star to pay $50,000 in spousal support plus another $50k for his children which totaled $100k a month. The actor’s reported salary is $521,000 per month.
Williams went back to court in July to dispute his expensive monthly payments and said there was “an error in law.” He also claimed Drake-Lee “exaggerates many of our expenses and the children’s needs, while also lumping her personal expenses for the children” according to legal documents.
The 37-year-old filed for divorce against his ex-wife in April 2017 after five years of marriage. The pair share two children their daughter Sadie and son Maceo.
