After IHOP announced Monday that it would no longer focus on pancakes, Wendy’s took aim at the 60-year-old eatery and dragged it for diving into burgers.
“Dear Internet, we abbreciate your batience. Now let’s see who guessed right. B-hold!!!!! #IHOb,” IHOb tweeted June 11 in its confirmation that it’s turning attention to steakburgers. (intentionally replacing the ‘p’ in each word with ‘b.’)
When a Twitter user who seems to be well-versed in Wendy’s penchant for clapping back heard the news, he asked the fast food chain for a response.
“So @Wendys u just gonna let @IHOb sell burgers on your block? thought you were the og?” Tony X said.
“Not really afraid of the burgers from a place that decided pancakes were too hard,” Wendy’s responded.

And they didn’t stop there. Wendy’s also posted another diss.
Remember when you were like 7 and thought changing your name to Thunder BearSword would be super cool?
Like that, but our cheeseburgers are still better.— Wendy’s (@Wendys) June 11, 2018
Still, IHOb remained calm and insisted they wanted no trouble with the Dave Thomas-founded eatery. And Wendy’s responded in kind.
We don’t want any beef with you, we just want to share our beef with the world

Still, other restaurants took aim at IHOb, too.
As much as we love our pancakes, we'd never change our name to Whatapancake
